Service Details

TurfCuts Service

TurfCuts service is scheduled weekly throughout the season and automatically renews from season to season until you cancel. TurfCuts mows grass areas in the front, back, and sides of every yard with 21 inch mulching mowers. (Grass or weeds growing inside of beds will not be cut.) A line trimmer is used around beds, fences, and trees. Please protect trees with a plastic tree guard, or they may be damaged. All curbs, driveways, and sidewalks in the front yard are edged with a steel blade. When all the work is finished, TurfCuts is sure to blow clippings from sidewalks and driveways.

Lot Size

TurfCuts lawn mowing price is based on a lot size of less than 10,000 square feet. We do not mow lots over 10,000 sq. ft.

Mow Day & Time

TurfCuts’ crews mow Monday thru Thursday and are in a designated neighborhood each day of the week, so you will be assigned a specific mow day. Although we assign a specific mowing day, the time of day your lawn is mowed may vary from week to week. Our crews sometimes work until 7 PM, so don’t worry if your lawn is not mowed by 5 PM.

TurfCuts lawn mowing season begins the first week of April and ends on the last week of October. If you wish to delay your season start date or end your season early, please notify us here.

On weeks when a national holiday falls Monday thru Thursday, we will stick to our schedule and mow your lawn on your designated mow day.

Long Grass

If our crew arrives to your lawn and the grass is overgrown (6” or longer), and it takes additional time, we reserve the right to charge 2x the standard price. If your lawn is extremely overgrown (12” or longer), we will not be able to service your property due to the size and power of our equipment.

Skipping A Week of Mowing

You are allowed to skip a week of mowing if your lawn has not grown. Please note that our crews do not make the decision whether or not your lawn needs mowing, so you will need to notify us to skip a scheduled mowing. Please also note that if the lawn is skipped and the next scheduled mowing requires additional time, TurfCuts reserves the right to charge an additional service fee. In order for a requested skip to take affect, you must notify us on the Manage Mowing page by 24 hours before the day before mowing and Friday by 12pm MST to skip a Monday mowing. Service will be resumed the following week.

You are guaranteed satisfaction with your mowing service. As a customer, if you ever feel that your mowing is not satisfactory or you feel that it was not mowed, please notify us on the Manage Mowing page by 24 hours before the day after your lawn was serviced and we will come back and fix the problem at no additional charge within 48 hours. Credits are not available.

You may cancel your service with us anytime you wish, for any reason, without a cancellation fee. Please understand though, that if you do not cancel your service, we will return to your house from week to week throughout the season and from season to season. If you wish to cancel, you must notify us on the Manage Mowing page. Cancellations must be submitted 24 hours before the day before your mowing and Friday by 12pm MST for Monday visits.

Gates and Pets

All pets must be indoors and all gates must be unlocked on your mow day. If we arrive to your property and cannot mow the back yard due to a pet in the yard or a locked gate, you will still be charged. Our crews are very careful about closing gates before they leave, but we do not guarantee that a pet will not escape from the yard. Therefore, you accept our service with this provision. TurfCuts is not responsible for lost or injured pets.

Items in the Yard

We ask that you please pick up all small items such as toys, hoses, pet waste, and other items in your yard before our technicians arrive each week. Large items such as lawn furniture and trampolines will be moved, mowed under, and moved back. However, TurfCuts is not responsible for broken items or any injuries that result from use of these items after they have been moved by our technicians.

If TurfCuts happens to damage a sprinkler head, please contact us anytime on the Manage Mowing page. We will repair or replace the damage as soon as possible.

We strongly recommend you protect your trees with tree guards to ensure their longevity, since we can not guarantee your trees will not be damaged. TurfCuts is not responsible for damaged trees.

Please do not water your lawn on your mow day. Wet grass will cause clumping.

We always try to finish our routes, even on rainy days. If, however, we are washed out due to heavy rain all day, we will adjust the rest of the week’s schedule by one day so that we will service all remaining lawns the day after they were supposed to be mowed. Friday is the “make-up” day for schedules that are delayed due to rain. Some customers will choose to skip a mowing if their grass is wet. Skipped mows are not rescheduled. To avoid excessively long grass, we recommend that our customers allow us to mow even when the lawn is wet.

Payment for your service is conveniently billed to your debit or credit card each week the day your lawn is mowed. Printed account activity is available upon request.

Declined Cards

In the event that a card is declined, we will try the card again the following day. If the card does not go through a second time, your next mow will be put on hold until we are able to reach you. If you respond quickly with another card, we will promptly put you back on the schedule with no late fee or fee for changing cards.
